Mariners, Cano close to 10-year, $240M deal
CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Mariners are close to a deal with Robinson Cano.
ESPN Deportes' Enrique Rojas is saying the deal will be for 10 years and $240 million and that Cano is scheduled for a physical on Monday in Seattle. Cano and agent Jay Z flew to Seattle Thursday night knowing the Mariners were willing to go to $225 million, at which point a deal going down appeared to be a very real possibility.
