WHAT'S BREWING TODAY Sunday, July 31 On Today's Scorecard MAC Attack

The MAC hasn't produced consecutive conference football champions since 2011-12. Northern Illinois enters the 2022 season as the defending champion, and the Huskies bring back a deeply experienced squad from last season with 18 returning starters. NIU last captured consecutive MAC titles as the aforementioned team in 2012. That's a long time between drinks of water. In addition, the MAC has been a major disappointment in bowl games, as they are just 24-53 SU and 30-44-3 ATS overall since 2008, including 5-15 ATS as dogs of 3 or fewer points.
