Re: In The Dugout for Sunday. 7/13

Thankfully the All Star break is next week.
It took a ton of inner motivation to even do the thread this week.
Every year I do it and hope people will actually get involved. But like every other year...Nope !

It's sad that with all the views this thread has...
                Nobody has anything to offer.
                No opinion.
                No original thought
Or even the time to even say thanks.

I brought this site back because I enjoy interacting with a few people on here.
Paying for this site and doing this thread is my choice.
When it stops being fun. Then there is no motivation left to keep doing it anymore.

On August 8th I have 2 projects launching that will take up a ton of my time.
That has left me with needing to audit my schedule and see where I might be wasting time.
I have come to the conclusion that doing this thread is a waste of time.
Spending hours doing it and getting nothing out of it is just dumb.
I might do a scaled down version of it on the main page of the site...Or just not do it at all.
The good news is I got 6 days to figure it out.

I think making this entire forum private is the only way to go.
Bottom line is I should pay for and use my time for only people that have something to offer in return.
The landscape of these forums have changed. Before people use to interact and work together.
Now the majority treat it like a drive thru window.

It's sad when guys like Jumperjack have a profitable season and only 2% of the people that view his thread even respond.
The same could be said about this thread. But I would be lying if I said even 2 % bothered to post in here. It's less than that.
No sense beating a dead horse any longer. People are either lazy or just don't give a damn anymore.
Not my problem to figure it out.
This site is a hobby and not a business. So with that being said.
My only focus should be on the people that actually do give a damn.
Enjoy the All Star break. It couldn't have gotten here at a better time.

Well damn. The whole reason I joined was to get involved. I'll admit I'm still green but I'm greatly appreciative. I can't speak for the rest. Perhaps we could work out another situation down the line. Until then, thanks as usual.

                      Gamer,

Thank you! I haven't had time to review in detail each week, but when I do the information is invaluable. Please continue to provide.

                      Thank you!

I don't blame you Gamer. Just looking through the stats each day is time consuming. All the uploading, research and analysis has to be almost a full time job. You know better than anyone that baseball capping is a grind. Half of a season is enough for me and I don't invest near the time you do. Full time day job, family stuff and events on the weekends makes it tough to keep going if there's no payoff, whatever that may be. It's a great thread, always has been. Bottom line there's a few real fans of the game in here but not nearly enough to keep investing the time that you do.
