    Preview: Sacramento At Denver
When: 9:00 PM ET, Saturday, April 2, 2016
    Where: Pepsi Center, Denver, Colorado
Sacramento All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins will miss his second straight game when the Kings visit the Denver Nuggets on Saturday. Cousins missed Friday’s 112-106 loss to the Miami Heat due to a suspension and coach George Karl revealed Friday that Cousins will only play in home games the remainder of the season.
Sacramento is 2-11 this season when Cousins sits out and the franchise is trying to rest him because of his persistent feet soreness. “We’ve been dealing with injuries and we’ve been dealing with other things off the court,” point guard Darren Collison told reporters after Friday’s loss. “I’m just proud guys have continued to stay with it. It’s going to pay off in the near future, believe it or not.” Denver dropped a 101-95 decision to the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday as it closes out its third consecutive losing campaign. “I feel like every game at this point is a learning experience,” Nuggets coach Michael Malone told reporters. “It’s a game we definitely should have won, but we didn’t come out with the energy or do what we needed to do to win.”
TV: 8 p.m. ET, CSN California (Sacramento), Altitude (Denver)
ABOUT THE KINGS (30-46): Collison has played well on the offensive end of late and poured in a season-high 26 points against Miami. It was his third 20-point outing in the past 11 games and he has scored in double digits in 12 consecutive contests. Collison has knocked down more than 61 percent of his field-goal attempts in three of the past four games and is 25-of-45 during the stretch.
ABOUT THE NUGGETS (32-45): Backup forward Darrell Arthur is battling soreness in both knees and produced his best outing of the season against New Orleans when he matched his career high of 24 points. Arthur was 10-of-15 from the field – including 4-of-5 from 3-point range – and collected nine rebounds in only 22 minutes of action. “For him to go out there and gut through that performance really speaks to his mentality and who he is,” Malone told reporters.
    BUZZER BEATERS
    1. The Kings are 2-0 against the Nuggets this season behind Cousins, who averaged 38 points and 14.5 rebounds in two close victories.
    2. Sacramento backup SG Marco Belinelli (foot) will likely miss his fifth consecutive game while SF Omri Casspi (hamstring) could miss the rest of the season after being injured in Friday’s contest.
    3. Denver SF Will Barton missed all eight of his field-goal attempts and scored six points against New Orleans after averaging 24 points over the previous two games.
    PREDICTION: Nuggets 112, Kings 104

      Preview: Miami At Portland
When: 10:00 PM ET, Saturday, April 2, 2016
Where: Moda Center at the Rose Quarter, Portland, Oregon
The Portland Trail Blazers are closing in on the injury ravaged Memphis Grizzlies for the fifth seed in the Western Conference playoffs. Portland stands one game behind the Grizzlies and can apply more pressure on Memphis with a victory over the visiting Miami Heat on Saturday.
The Trail Blazers have won the first three games of a four-game homestand and have been victorious in five of their last seven overall games. Passing the Grizzlies would give Portland a first-round matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers rather than the Oklahoma City Thunder. Miami is part of a three-way virtual tie for third place in the Eastern Conference with the Charlotte Hornets and Atlanta Hawks while the Boston Celtics lurk a half-game behind. Heat guard Dwyane Wade (back and neck soreness) is expected to miss his second straight game after he averaged 28 points on 26-of-40 shooting over the previous two games.
TV: 10 p.m. ET, FSN Sun (Miami), CSN Northwest (Portland)
ABOUT THE HEAT (44-31): Gerald Green stepped into the starting lineup with Wade sidelined and scored a season-best 30 points and tied his season high of five 3-pointers as Miami posted a 112-106 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Friday. Green has experienced a disappointing campaign in which he shot 33.3 percent from the field in March and 31.8 percent in February. “The last two months, the media has been killing me,” Green said after his stellar showing. “I’m just motivated. I haven’t really been playing that well, but it was good to see some shots go in – but even better for us to win.”
ABOUT THE TRAIL BLAZERS (40-36): Standout guards Damian Lillard (14 points on 3-of-16 shooting) and C.J. McCollum (17) both had substandard nights in the same game in Thursday’s 116-109 victory over the Boston Celtics and an unlikely hero emerged. Forward Al-Farouq Aminu poured in a career-best 28 points and made a career-high six 3-pointers in a stunning offensive performance. “It was good to see him have a breakout game,” Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts told reporters. “To be honest, I was surprised, he’s been in the league as long as he has and 20 was his career high. He had a good rhythm shooting the three, made some great defensive plays during the stretch that we needed them.”
      BUZZER BEATERS
      1. The Heat have won six of the past eight meetings, including a 116-109 home victory on Dec. 20.
      2. Miami C Hassan Whiteside collected 13 rebounds on Friday and has been in double digits in 19 of the last 21 games.
      3. Lillard has been held to fewer than 20 points in four consecutive games and is 17-of-61 shooting during the stretch.
PREDICTION: Trail Blazers 119, Heat 111
