    On Today's Scorecard
    Chew On This
Like a $2 steak on Tuesdays in Vegas, with their 2022 schedule, the Chiefs will be chewing on an extra tough schedule to open the 2022 season as the become the first team in NFL history to open a season with eight straight games against teams that finished above .500 the prior season, winning a collective 89 games last season.

The stretch starts in Week 1 when they travel to Arizona and then continues to Week 9. Here's a look at their brutal opening eight-game gauntlet: At Cardinals, Chargers, at Colts, at Buccaneers, Raiders, Bills, 49ers, and Titans.

    Beyond Absurd
Good luck with getting a ticket to Ohio State's home opener against Notre Dame on Sep 3.

Per the Columbus Dispatch, tickets on StubHub range from $301 to $4800 for club seats on the 50-yard line.

This is the latest example of college football fans paying anything just to watch their team play.

And in typical Lou Holtz-speak, two weeks after being selected as new Notre Dame's new head coach,Marcus Freeman said his team being a 13.5 point underdog wasn't high enough. "Make that thing 21 points. I want everybody in our program to know everybody is counting you out. Good. Good. If you're a competitor, you'll step up to a challenge."

The amount of money people are willing to pay to see Freeman begin his Notre Dame coaching career in an 0-2 hole is absolutely mind-boggling.

FYI: The Irish have been installed as underdogs five times in season opening games against the Big Ten since 1980. They are 5-0 ATS, winning four of the games in straight-up fashion.

    A Pair Of 9's
And who said home ice advantage was extinct? The Hurricanes advance to the next round of the NHL playoffs by winning all 4 home games by a total of 12 goals – or an average of 3 goals per victory - the highest home goal differential in a single series in franchise history.

Meanwhile, the two-time defending Tampa Bay Lightning made it 9 playoff series wins in a row when they sent the Maple Leafs packing on Sunday in Game 7 of their series in Toronto.

And speaking of 9's ... Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy shines in Series Clinching Games going 9-0 with 5 shutouts to go with a 0.81 GAA and a .970 Save Percentage.
