Just got tickets to see this guy in the summer at the casino show lounge here, he's a great entertainer. Founding member off the Guess Who he has big time connection to Regina where I live. When the guess who got together they holed up in a motel in the city here for months and stayed there till they finished their 1st album back in the late 60's, seen them a couple of times back in the 70's. He moved on to a highly successful solo career and he always came back to play our city and I seen him many times. He's from Winnipeg and is half owner of a restaurant franchise that has something like 15 locations in Manitoba and is very popular in that city. He's been awarded the order of Canada and the order of Manitoba and has a great little theatre there named after him. He also was inducted into the Canadian music hall of fame and also has a star on the Canadian Walk of Fame, both prestigious awards.
Cummings convened a reunion of The Guess Who for an extensive nostalgia tour from 2000 to 2003. In July 2003 the group performed before an estimated audience of 450,000 at the Molson Canadian Rocks for Toronto SARS benefit concert. The show was the largest outdoor ticketed event in Canadian history The guy is quite a story and a pleasure to watch in person. He lived in California for quite a few years but after a serious car accident and recovery he moved back to Canada Making his home in the small city of Moose Jaw, 40 miles west of here about 10 years ago. His shows now are a little bit of story telling and music from his vast array of hits, great sit back and relax kinda show can't wait for this one
