Dayton won its first three games vs stiffs, despite turning ball over 21.2% of time, but they also made 48.3% behind arc. ACC home favorites are 9-13.
Northwestern lost 50-44 at home to Illinois-Chi LY, missing half their 20 foul shots, scoring only 18 points in second half; Wildcats got beat at home by young Illinois State team Sunday, their second loss in row after losing road opener at Stanford. UIC scored 62.5 ppg in losing first two D-I games, to Drake/Eastern Illinois. Big 10 home favorites are 8-8.
SMU hung on for 78-75 win at Texas State LY, after leading by 13 early in game; quick turnaround for Mustangs after Monday's 89-78 loss at Arkansas- SMU turned ball over 18 times, Hogs made 11-22 from arc. Texas State lost its first three games by 6-7-17 points, turning ball over 21.8% of time. AAC favorites are 13-8 vs spread, 2-2 away from home.
Xavier won its first three games, but turned ball over 21.4% of tine and shot 59.6% from line; they're 3-2 in last five games with Miami, taking wins by 6-7-3 points. Wichita State hits road for first time after four wins by 14+ points- since they made Final Four last spring, Shockers have target on their back for mid-major foes. Wichita won its last three games with Tulsa by 3-10-26 points. Hurricane is 0-2, losing by combined nine points to Missouri St., Oral Roberts. MVC favorites are 4-6 vs spread, but 3-0 on road.

Iowa State pulled away (led by 11 at the half) for 83-62 home win over BYU LY; Cyclones shot 58% inside ard- they had a big home win over Michigan Sunday, in game with total of only 28 FTs. BYU won 112-103 at Stanford last week; Cougars are playing fastest tempo in country after 11 days, making 45.2% behind arc, turning ball over only 12.2% of time.
Fresno State beat Cal Poly 76-67 LY, after losing at home to Mustangs year before; Bulldogs are 2-1, losing by 21 at Pitt, beating couple of Big West teams, Irvine by 1 in OT, Northridge by 19. Cal Poly lost its first two games by 11-2 points, scoring only 60 ppg- they've turned ball over 22.9% of time. Mountain West road teams are 7-5 against the spread.
Pepperdine beat three stiffs to start year, but seeing as they were 12-27 last two years, they were stiffs then, so this is progress; Waves made an impressive 44.2% behind arc in first three games. San Jose State scored 60.8 ppg in losing its first four games; none of its foes are ranked above #164 in country. WCC home favorites are 13-4 against the spread.

Redbirds are shooting just 24.2% from arc. Manhattan made 44.9% of its 3's in 2-1 start, with double OT win at LaSalle, 71-70 win vs Columbia, 80-74 loss at GW.
