    DUKE +3.5 and ML +140

This is a very young Pitt team that I believe will be much improved next year. Sophomore RB, James Connor and WR Tyler Boyd are both beasts and QB Chad Voytik is slowing improving but very inconsistent. Also Pitt starts a very young OL with a red-shirt freshman at center, true sophomore at LG and redshirt sophomore at LT. There defense really got exposed last week against GT, giving up 465 rushing yards. The have a very depleted secondary due to suspensions and transfers and now lost there starting free safety to injury. After winning their first three games they have now lost 4 of their last 5 games and look as if they gave up in the 4th quarter against GT. Duke is coming off a bye week having won 4 of their last five games. They also are in a revenge situation losing at home to Pitt last year 58-55. Duke was without their starting QB in that game and the backup threw 4 INT. Also, former Pitt QB, Tom Savage tied an ACC record throwing 6 TD's. He is now with the Houston Texans. Duke has three good RB's and average slightly over 200 ypg rushing. It is suppose to be a cold, rainy and windy day which is going to keep my off playing the over. Duke averaging over 33 points a game and while they give up a lot of yards, they are only allowing 15 points per game.

I would like to get the forum's opinion on the line move in this one. It opened at Pick and immediately shot up to Pitt -4.5. It has come back to 3.5 and even seen a 3. Did sharps bet it up to get Duke +4.5??? I have no idea why anyone would be pounding Pitt??

    ADDING:

    ARKANSAS +11
Making a small play on ARK. Think their running game will keep this close and like getting double digits here.

I like the over here. Duke has been fortunate in the sense that they are only giving up 17 points per game even though their yardage suggest they should be giving up more. Pitt has posted some good defensive numbers as well until the last Ga Tech game but they have faced some really bad offenses. This game posted over 100 points last year and while I don't see that happening again this year I think it flies way over the posted total of 49.5. My only guess for the opening line and movement would be Pitt played about as bad as a team can play this week and people are anticipating a better effort this week.

I really liked the over also until I saw the weather forecast. 12-22 mph winds rain possibly turning to snow. Thinking take the better team moving in a much more positive direction.. Pitt will be lucky to play in a bowl game this year and Duke is looking like they will face FSU in the ACC championship.

Even terrible teams cover from time to time in the right spot. This may be one of them
