A Comcast Philadelphia source confirms that Nick Foles suffered a broken collarbone in Sunday's Week 9 win at Houston.
Foles suffered the fracture to his left clavicle when he was sacked by Texans OLB Whitney Mercilus. A Monday MRI will determine exactly how long he'll be out, but owners should be preparing for a 4-6 week timetable in a best-case scenario.

ESPN Texans reporter Tania Ganguli senses "some pessimism" on Arian Foster's groin injury.
Foster will head for an MRI to determine the severity of his latest soft-tissue ailment. But given how frustrated he was at the time of the injury (he threw his helmet) and the "pessimism" from Ganguli, we'd be worried about his status following the Week 11 bye.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is "betting on" Tony Romo starting the team's Week 10 game in London.

A source tells NFL Network that Arian Foster (groin) is unlikely to miss time following the Texans' Week 10 bye.
Ian Rapoport has been told that Foster just needs rest more than anything else.

Tony Romo's back injury is the same as the one Baylor QB Bryce Petty suffered earlier this year.
Petty missed one game with two cracks in the transverse process in his back. Romo is hoping to return on the same timetable as Petty did -- two weeks after sustaining the injury. "He'll be fine, like I am. As far as a back injury to have, this is the one to have. It kind of heals itself," Petty said.

Giovani Bernard (hip) did not practice Tuesday.
Bernard is expected to be held out again this week with the Bengals playing in the Thursday night game. Consider him week to week

Running back Adrian Peterson has reached a plea deal in his child-abuse case and is not expected to serve any jail time, a source confirmed to ESPN's Michele Steele.

Peterson will enter a plea Tuesday afternoon to a lesser charge than the felony child-abuse charge that he is currently facing, the source confirmed.

The Minnesota star, who has been on the commissioner's exempt list since being indicted in September, will enter a plea to one misdemeanor count of reckless assault, according to the source.

If you don't have to dump a decent player. Then it could be worth the gamble.

I don't think he plays a down this season. He still got charged with smoking marijuana which is considered punishable by death these days in the NFL. Even if he is fully cleared I think the NFL needs to make a statement after screwing up the Ray Rice sentence.

The Texans named Ryan Mallett their starting quarterback for Week 11 against the Browns.
Coach Bill O'Brien praised Mallett's command of the offense, acknowledging his progress running the system, and said it's time to give Mallett "his shot." With the Texans on their bye, it was a prime time to make the switch.

Giovani Bernard (hip) is doubtful for Thursday night's Week 10 game against the Browns.

Fred Jackson (groin) returned to Bills practice Wednesday.

Calvin Johnson said his ankle is "almost 100 percent" healthy, and he'll be ready to go for Week 10 against the Dolphins.

The NFL rejected a request from Adrian Peterson's camp for immediate reinstatement following his plea deal Tuesday.
The NFL isn't going to make any hasty decisions here. Per ESPN's Ed Werder, they will examine the court documents/police record in the case, convene experts, hold a hearing with Peterson and the NFLPA, consult with the Vikings and the union and then possibly apply the personal conduct policy. Considering Peterson has been suspended (with pay) since Week 1, it's only fair that the matter is resolved quickly.

Pierre Thomas (shoulder, ribs) and Khiry Robinson (forearm) have both been ruled out for Week 10 against the 49ers.
Expect another full workload for Mark Ingram.

Sammy Watkins (groin) remained sidelined at Friday's practice

The Miami Herald's Adam Beasley considers Lamar Miller (questionable, shoulder) likely to be "limited" in Sunday's game versus Detroit.
Beasley is "hearing" that Miller will be active for the game, but we may see more than usual of Daniel Thomas and UDFA Damien Williams, who both struggled in last week's win over San Diego.

Cardinals placed QB Carson Palmer on injured reserve with a torn left ACL, ending his season.

Speaking Monday, Vikings coach Mike Zimmer confirmed the Vikings would welcome Adrian Peterson back, but said the situation is in the hands of the NFL.
"We love the kid," Zimmer said of his superstar back. "He's done everything we've asked." Zimmer said the league has not provided a timetable on its decision to activate AD from the commissioner's exempt list. The Washington Post's Mark Maske calls it a "fluid situation that could change daily." It appears unlikely that Peterson is activated for Week 11, but it can't yet be ruled out.
