Ladarius Green (ankle, PUP) will begin practicing on Tuesday.
The practice, Green's first as a Steeler, will start a 21-day window for him to be activated.

Ben Roethlisberger (meniscus surgery) hopes to practice next week.
The Steelers are on bye this week. Roethlisberger resumed throwing on Tuesday. "I'm taking it day to day, but my goal is to practice next week," Roethlisberger said. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports the Steelers are "cautiously optimistic" Roethlisberger returns in Week 9.

The Chicago Tribune's Mike Mulligan reports Bears coach John Fox told friends "he was done" with Jay Cutler.
It has become clear Brian Hoyer would have remained the starter the rest of the season if not for the broken forearm which knocked him out of last Thursday's game. Now Cutler, who has been inactive with a thumb injury, is magically healthy again, and he will start against the Vikings.

The Chronicle's Scott Petrak believes "everything points" to Josh McCown (shoulder) starting against the Jets.

LeSean McCoy (hamstring) is not practicing Thursday.
This is the same routine McCoy followed last week before getting in a limited session Friday and playing Sunday. He was completely ineffective before suffering a setback, however, and it seems unlikely the Bills make the same mistake again.

C.J. Anderson (knee) denied a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport saying he had told "people close to him" he was out for the season.
Anderson immediately denied the report, writing, "False," in response to Rapoport's tweet. Anderson is expected to undergo further testing Thursday, and the Broncos are expected to update his status after those tests

LeSean McCoy (hamstring) remained sidelined at practice Friday.
This is different from last week. McCoy was able to practice last Friday before ultimately suiting up against the Dolphins, only to get hurt again. Don't expect McCoy to follow that same path this week. He's likely out this week and questionable for Week 9.

Jordan Reed (concussion) is questionable for Week 8 against the Bengals.
Reed continues to say he feels 100 percent and back to normal after getting in a full week of practices

Matt Jones (knee) has been ruled out for Week 8 against the Bengals.
Rob Kelley has been running as the first-team running back at practice this week, with Chris Thompson handling his normal pass-game role

Jeremy Langford (ankle) is questionable for Monday night against the Vikings.
Langford should play after getting in limited work all week.

Martellus Bennett (questionable, ankle) made the trip to Buffalo.
Bennett's missed Friday practice was maintenance related.

Packers released RB Knile Davis. Either Starks is close to coming back or they just don't think he fits what they want from a back.
