Funny thing is, I was doing some research on the Bucs at GMTD at the same time we were talkin' about the new shortcuts, so just out of curiosity I backed everything out except 'team=Buccaneers' and added the new 'game type=SB' and 3 games popped-up.

I was like 'that ain't right 'cuz TB's only been to 2 SB's, saw the year & the Patriots & thought 'that ain't right' 'cuz TB didn't play against TB & the Patriots but recognized the score...29-32.

    That was the 'aha' moment...LOL

But that reminds me: It would be nice if we could use a shortcut 'team=Bucs' instead of the full 'Buccaneers'...for some reason I always spell 'Buccaneers' wrong...'cuz I'm old too & forget: 'Is it one 'c' or two...one 'n' or two...

And 'overtime' doesn't bring up the same results as 'OT'

    Examples:

    http://gimmethedog.com/NFL?q=p%3AHFW...d%20p%3AOT%3D1

    226 results

    http://gimmethedog.com/NFL?q=p%3AHFW...3Aovertime%3D1

    42 results

Caveat: These are small & insignificant right now, as I know the work-arounds & the season's almost over. So no big deal...

Don't see the problem with your query John

Forget it I see it now, maybe the database has a mind of it's own and just thought Brady was the qb back then for TB, lol

. Not only that and I discussed this before with someone but they shouldn't have listed TB as the home team for the 2020 superbowl, it fuked up searches for superbowls using site=neutral language. Yes the game was in TB but they were officially the away team for that game, that should be fixed imo

Strangely killersports doesn't have that game listed with this query, team=Buccaneers and week>=21 but they do have the Bucs as the home team for 2020, I was sure I got them to change that
      Hey Tom and Riderx,

I need your help and I'm hopeful we can get on the same page. As users of gimmethedog.com, we all want the data to be clean and accurate. I first started working on GTD over the summer and opened the doors in October. The data is not perfect, but I think the NFL and NCAAFB are pretty darn good for such a short timeline and the complexity of data acquisition. I'll do a lot of data hygiene during the off-season to make things better -- I promise. This season, I was just hoping to keep my head above water.

It serves little purpose to point out data deficiencies here, without making sure I'm aware. For example, the 2020 season Super Bowl having the Bucs as the home team needs to be fixed. Having the 2003 season Super Bowl with the Pats vs. the Bucs instead of the Pat vs. the Panthers needs to be fixed. Soon I'll have a forum to report data issues. I have not gotten to it yet. My focus is getting the NHL running and then MLB. MLB will be the 1st sport with player data. Next season, all sports will have player data.

So my ask is, if you notice something wrong with the data on GTD, DM me here. I usually check in every day. Thomas, you have other ways to reach me. Riderx, I'm happy to provide those alternate methods as well. I definitely want the data to be accurate, and would very much appreciate it if you notice anything that's wrong, to help me correct it as soon as possible. This way, we can rely on the accuracy of our queries in making our plays.

Lastly, I don't know if Killersports will ever have a useable product, but until they do and until it's noticeably better than gimmethedog (which won't happen), I'd appreciate your support.

      Thanks.

but look closer at that link...TB didn't play the Patriots in '03...it was Carolina.
See above, I wanted you to get a notification from being quoted.
