    On Today's Scorecard
    You Need To Know
The 10th and final week of the USFL regular season kicks off today. The playoff field is set so the only thing on the line is pride.

There is one playoff preview on tap with the Philadelphia Stars and New Jersey Generals set for the first of back-to-back matchups. The Generals are the North Division champions and tied with the Birmingham Stallions for the league's best record (8-1). The Stars (6-3) have won four in a row and boast the top scoring offense (26.5 ppg), but New Jersey won the first meeting (24-16) back in Week 3 and has won eight in a row overall.

The Jersey Boys rank first in both rushing offense and rushing defense. They dominate the trenches in a manner no other team in this league. Philadelphia has the worst rushing defense in the league (148.2 ypg).

Meanwhile, Birmingham (8-1) will look to bounce back off its first loss of the season when they were stunned, 17-15, last Saturday by the Houston Gamblers. The Stallions are the most impressive team this season due to their record and the highest point differential (+62) among the eight teams.

For the first time in NBA history, every game in the NBA Finals was a double-digit margin by the winning team – and Golden State became the first team in league history to go from the worst record in the league to champion in just two years.

Boston's Jayson Tatumis the first player in NBA history with 100 turnovers in a postseason.

And finally, Axios Sports called out the fact that two babies born three years apart at Akron General Medical Center — LeBron James andStephen Curry — are now responsible for eight NBA championships, six league MVPs and five Finals MVPs between them.

Ole Miss and Texas A&M were the only two teams to go unscathed (5-0) in this year's Regionals. Oklahoma and Stanford each lost two games, yet made it to the College World Series.

Factoid: when the Rebels meet Auburn in a battle of SEC West rivals this evening they will do so knowing Ole Miss won the home series 2-1. The early season series was an offensive slugfest, scoring a combined 60 runs during the series. Look for a well-lit scoreboard tonight.
